Current trends in the industry....

A current trend in the music industry that I think is interesting is when bands have their own iPhone app. I know certain bands such as No Doubt have their own app that features exclusive videos, news, and various other content. It is a fun way to stay in touch with your fans and its either free or of low cost to them. I like being able to search content, download songs, catch the latest news, and watch videos all in one click; instead of having to go on their website. It's a fun way to promote your music and get the fans involved as more and more technology becomes available on mobile devices. It can also be very interactive when fans are able to upload their own concert videos of the band and participate in chats with other fans. Just search your favorite band's name in your app store, and see what you can find!
